A mailing list is an electronic discussion forum that anyone (public list) or selected people (private list) can subscribe to. When someone sends an e-mail message to the mailing list, a copy of that message is broadcast to everyone who is subscribed to that list. Mailing lists provide a simple and effective communication mechanism. We are currently hosting one public and one private mailing list on European Psychology Publication Issues.
Discussion forum on publishing in psychology from a European perspective. Topics can be language, refereeing, editing, impact, accessibility, cost, open access and so on. (For an overview of the issues, see this presentation.) Contributions might help in creating or improving a new publication platform for psychology in Europe.
Open to everyone, posts by nonmembers are not allowed, moderated (all messages must be approved by the list moderator(s) before they will be posted to the mailing list).
Primary means of communication for the task force on building a working publishing platform that emerged from the Berlin workshop. Topics could be promotion and advocacy, funding opportunities, sustainable financing, building infrastructure and resources, quality control, coordination with the scientific community and other stakeholders and so on.
Membership by invitation only; posts by nonmembers are not allowed; unmoderated.
