Results of survey
An online survey was designed to collect empirical data on the questions of
(1) whether European linguistic diversity is an obstacle for scientific communication in
psychology and
(2) whether there is a need for a publication platform tailored to European needs.
Psychology associations in many European countries were asked to direct their members' attention to the survey.
Data fromcollection took place from February, 11 - May, 30 2008. The survey was answered by 493 respondents from 24 different European countries from whom 94% held
an academic title in psychology. The results are summarized below. (Please note that they are not representative for European psychology as a whole.)
